Some pirates who are smart, bring a crew with them to attack merchants. Cannoneer's Key and Freeport also act as refuge for them, and even Harrisburg too. Pirates are known for targeting Whitecrest most often, because the island is downwind from Blackwind Cove alongside occasionally seizing the islands of Perth and Fenwick (the former, more), and use Salem as well as the other islands as camps, in order to disrupt trade. While equal to Captains in the Blackwind Cove group, Previous pirate King/Queens gain custom titles such as (not so pirate king) these individuals are former Pirate Kings/Queens only allying other official pirate crews but even then that's on a case by case basis The Blackwind Pirates are enemy's of all factions they work together in crews. The system has been replaced by the Captain system, where leaders of pirate crews work together equally on the diplomacy of Blackwind Cove. There were to be no more than 9 official Council crews and the only spots that would open were if one of the Council stepped down or were disbanded over time.Īs of April 28th, 2018, the Pirate Council system was dissolved by a vote from the Player's Union of Tradelands. A Pirate Captain could challenge an existing Pirate Council crew to a battle where the result of said battle would decide whether or not the Captain and its crew could rise in rank.
Sometimes during battles with navies, the pirate council would help their King and try to win the battle. They were made of the most feared and respectable pirates in Tradelands. The Pirate Council were the advisers to the Pirate King/Queen. A female Pirate King would be known as the Pirate Queen. The Pirate King was also granted an official title of Blackwind Pirate King. The Pirate Council provided the King with advice on common issues, such as the navies. However the Pirate Captains now make up the leadership of the island. The Pirate King was elected based on their notoriety, respectability, and leadership.
